Truck Drivers Partly Exempt from Mandatory Wearing of Face Masks

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that commercial truck drivers are partly exempt from new measures signed by president Biden that require transportation workers to wear masks on all public transportation conveyances and at transportation hubs. However, the exemption only applies if the driver is the only person in the vehicle or truck. Types of public transportation conveyances include airplanes, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ride-shares, ferries, ships, trolleys, and cable cars, while airports, seaports, marinas, train stations, U.S. ports of entry "or any other locations that provide transportation subject to the jurisdiction of the United States" are considered a transportation hub.
